Refund policy

We want you to be happy with your order. This policy explains how returns, refunds, and cancellations work for purchases from The Ten Minute Rule, operated by Black Sands Studios.

RETURN WINDOW You may return an eligible book within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund. To be eligible, the book must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition you received it.

Signed Limited Edition copies are numbered collector's items. They may be returned within the same 30-day window if they arrive damaged or defective, but because they are a limited signed release, we are unable to accept returns of signed copies for reasons other than damage or defect.

DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS If your book arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@andrew-balfour.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will replace the item or issue a full refund, including any shipping costs, at no cost to you. You will not need to return a damaged item unless we ask you to.

HOW TO START A RETURN To start a return, email us at hello@andrew-balfour.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will confirm your eligibility and provide return instructions and the return address. Please do not send items back before contacting us.

For returns that are not the result of our error (for example, a change of mind), you are responsible for the cost of return shipping, and we recommend using a trackable method. Original shipping charges are non-refundable in those cases.

PRE-ORDER CANCELLATIONS Pre-orders are charged at the time of purchase to reserve your copy. You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it ships by emailing hello@andrew-balfour.com. Once a pre-order has shipped, it is handled under the standard return terms above.

REFUNDS Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@andrew-balfour.com.
